Tid Kiu Sam is regarded as one of the best Chinese Martial Artist in China. His real name was Leung Kwan and said to have been born in Nam Hoi district of the Kwungtung province. Leung Kwan was the third son of the family. According to legend he started his Gung fu training at a young age under the famous master Lee Hu Si who was nicknamed Bearded Li, also known as Golden Hook. Leung Gwan trained under the quiadenec of Lee Hu Si for a long time.

Leung Gwan being a curious man who loved training in martial arts was always in search of new knowledge and skills of other great masters to improve his Gung fu. During his search, he met Gwok Yan, a shaolin monk and a famous master of Gung fu. Gwok Yan who is said to have lived to the age of 110, took Leung Kwan as his disciple and taught him everything he knew. Some sources indicate that Gwok Yan taught Leung the "Gung Gee Fook Fu Kuen" and "Fu Hok Seung Ying Kuen". Leung Gwan learned much from his teacher Gwok Yan and through his dedication and hard work he developed extremely strong, iron like arms and solid stances. According to the legend he was so strong that not even 100 people could match his strenght. Combining his vast knowledge in gung fu and everything he had learned Leung Kwan created the famous Tid Sin Kuen - Iron Wire Fist.

Tid Sin Kuen - Iron Wire Fist Is the most advanced form of Hung Gar
Tid Kiu Sam's amazing skills and the many challenges he won soon made him very famous in the southern china. He became an extremely well known and respected figure and because of his skills and being the third son in his family ,he was given the nickname "Tid Kiu Sam" - Iron Bridge Three. He was also one of the Ten Tigers Of Kwungtung-Kwungtang Sup Fu. Ten tigers were the most famous and respected gung fu masters of the time. According to many sources Tid Kiu Sam was the leader of the ten tigers. His fame grow far and wide, many from all over the country came to study under him. Some of the students trained under him were Lam Fook Sing, Ma Gee Tiem(doublefinger), Choi Chan Ngau Chu, Lee Song, and Ng Hee Kwan. It is said that at a latter stage of his life Leung became addicted to opium and slowly fell ill. To break the habit he asked a saholin monk to help and teach him his shaolin pole techniques. However he pushed himself too hard and his condition got worst. It is believed that he died at about the age of 73 and according to some sources he was buried near Wanshan (Cloud Mountain) by his students.
